The History of Wastequip
Founded in 1989, Wastequip emerged under the vision of Charles Walton, who identified a need in the market for a unified approach to waste management equipment. The industry was fragmented, with customers relying on multiple providers for their waste and recycling solutions. Walton saw an opportunity to streamline this process by offering a one-stop shop for national waste haulers, combining durable products, readily available inventory, faster delivery, and exceptional customer service.
Over the past thirty years, Wastequip has strategically acquired top companies and brands in the industry, bringing them together under one umbrella. This approach has allowed us to offer a comprehensive range of products and services, making us a leader in the waste equipment sector. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wastequip has expanded its manufacturing and service operations across North America, ensuring local service with the benefits of a large-scale operation.
