Rich Sedory joined Wastequip as General Counsel in 2013. Prior to joining Wastequip, he served as General Counsel for Transtar Industries and Axiom Automotive Technologies, and has held senior legal, human resources and administrative positions at Fortune 250 companies. Rich has significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions; employment labor and employee benefit laws; intellectual property; and negotiating and drafting all types of commercial agreements. He is the President of the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association, a Director for Patriot Container Corp., and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and Association of Corporate Counsel. He was recognized as “General Counsel of the Year” by the Charlotte Business Journal in 2018 and OnCon Icon’s “Top 50 Corporate Counsel” in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Rich received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and has dual undergraduate degrees in Business and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He regularly presents at numerous continuing legal education seminars and volunteers for pro bono and charity activities in the Charlotte area.
