CHARLOTTE, NC (December 10, 2020) – Wastequip, the leading North American manufacturer of waste equipment, has acquired Carlsbad, California-based professional waste services company, ContainerPros.
This strategic acquisition enhances the existing cart assembly and delivery service offering provided by Wastequip’s Toter brand over the past several years by adding a well-respected team with over 20 years of experience in providing cart assembly, delivery and maintenance services for waste haulers and municipalities. Additionally, the acquisition lays the groundwork for Wastequip to include the repair and refurbishment of steel containers as part of its service offering.
As the largest original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provider of waste equipment, the acquisition of ContainerPros is another step for Wastequip toward becoming the leading service provider in the industry. Earlier this year, Wastequip announced the launch of its Wastequip WRX facilities to expand its field service capabilities for truck mounted equipment. The WRX facilities offer parts, service, and installation for most types of waste handling equipment with additional locations planned in the coming months.
“The acquisition of ContainerPros, a company that has built a decades-long reputation for outstanding service, complements our service strategy that began with the opening of our first Wastequip WRX location,” said CEO Marty Bryant. “Just like our WRX facilities, cart and container service work will be led by Wastequip employees. This means that haulers and municipalities can rest assured that they will receive the same level of quality and professionalism with our service offering that they currently enjoy when purchasing any of our industry leading equipment brands. Our professional service offering means our customers can focus on what’s most important to them – providing a positive experience for customers and residents,” Bryant added.
Following the close of the deal, ContainerPros founding partners, Mark Merhab and Gary Lima, will remain with the company. Their expertise in servicing carts and containers, along with Wastequip's new assembly and delivery software, allows for more efficient, accurate delivery, as well as ongoing cart management and maintenance.
“We are excited to join an industry leader like Wastequip and bring our waste industry service expertise to their family of brands. The partnership allows us to greatly enhance current assembly and delivery capabilities while expanding cart maintenance and other service offerings,” said founder Mark Merhab.
